Maggie’s Praline Pumpkin Dessert
Growing up, my mom made this dessert every fall, and it was something I eagerly looked forward to year after year. Now, making it myself has become my way of welcoming the season, filling my home with the same comforting smells and memories. I love sharing it with friends and family, and I hope it brings you as much joy and excitement for the season as it does for me.
INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13×9‑inch baking pan. Mix pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, and spice, then pour into the pan. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pumpkin mixture. Add the nuts. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top. Bake until a knife comes out clean—about 50‑60 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes. Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream and extra pumpkin spice if desired. Store in the refrigerator until needed.
INGREDIENTS Pumpkin purée, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, pumpkin‑pie spice, a box of yellow or spice cake mix, chopped pecans or walnuts, and melted butter. Top with whipped cream if you like. Prep & bake time: About 1 hour 45 minutes (20 minutes prep; bake ~50‑60 minutes) Serves: 12
